The Cube/Density Calculator can help you calculate cubic feet and density of your shipments.

Calculating Cubic Feet and Density

  1. The purpose of this tool is to aid customers in determining density for those NMFCs where class is based on density. Rate Quotes will still be based on class and weight provided.
  2. Measure the length, width, and height, in inches, of each piece of your shipment; enter these measurements into the appropriate fields.
  3. Enter the total weight of the measured freight for each line item.
  4. Click “Calculate”; the density will appear.
